Rel-a-tions-hip

Many times without realizing it, we find our life in a rel-a-tions-hip cycle. We are spinning around just like clothes in a machine seeking a rel-a-tions-hip that will last. We have the hip part down pat, everything is cool, however the first part, the relations part is not there.

My children hugged and kissed me at night before going to bed, however, today one of them lives in California while the other one lives in South Carolina. In every relationship with people I care about there has been separation. Children leave home, best friends and family members move away, dating relationships that once would have lead to marriage have ended.

I wanted a lasting relationship, one without separation that would not end, then I remembered Hebrews 13:5 …”be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.”

The relationships that I experience with family and friends are temporary. People will leave us. People will forget about us. My God relationship is a permanent relationship that has not changed. God will never leave you or forget about you. God is waiting with open arms to receive you no matter what is going on in your life

God, and only God, brings relationship together and with God you are never alone.
