Life with Lena: Perspectives from a Chi-town HU First Lady

Hello! Thank you for joining me at my new blog spot! I am happy to be able to share with you some of my perspectives on life and especially an abundant life through Jesus Christ who is the reason for and Creator of it all.

Now, I should tell you that my perspectives are many as I am a woman of color who has not always lived her life to honor the Lord. I have been challenged in my faith and strengthened at the same time. I have experienced pitfalls along the way as a woman who has children and who has been married for over 20 years to a faithful husband. I have learned to cling to my faith as the reason I  do it all.

I hope that my posts will be encouraging, thought provoking and even amusing at times as we navigate life together with the ultimate purpose of getting a Life in Christ. =)

Christ said that “…I come so that they may have life and have it abundantly.” John 10:10. This abundant life is not merely financial gain, that is not the focus. Christ wants us to live abundantly so that we are truly content and satisfied in this life and the life after. This can’t happen apart from Him.
