Date Rape
My friend told me that her date went very wrong last week. She was dressed in her new red dress with her black stilettos heels; she thought she should look good since he was taking her to a fancy restaurant. She was looking so good, her date stopped in awe of her appearance the second he took a look at her.
After the meal, he took her to his place. He put on some soft mellow music and led her to the couch. He started gently kissing her, which pleased her, but then his hands started wandering all over her body. She tried to redirect his hands, but he forcefully moved her hands out of the way. She whispered she was interested in sex, but he countered “I deserve this, I just spent all this money on the dinner we had. This is just the way you pay me back.” After that, he stopped being nice and aggressively raped her. He even had the nerve to tell her to clean herself up and fix her face before he would take her home. He did not want anyone else to see her looking that way.
I tried to convince her to report him, but she refused. She does not want to relive this event. She thinks nothing will be done anyway as she willingly went to his house.
It is never ok to be raped. Seek help, report the incident. Thankfully, crimes against women have been getting a lot more exposure, such as with the Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) focus by different organizations.
Psalm 37:12-13
The wicked plots against the just,
And gnashes at him with his teeth.
The Lord laughs at him,
For He sees that his day is coming.
