What are you going to do with all that money?
You’re about to graduate and make a lot of money. What are you planning to do with all that money? Receiving a large sum of money would feel liberating to a degree because it is an open door for opportunities. There are so many avenues to explore when you have cash.
If I did get a lot of money, I would donate to a homeless shelter and an orphanage, give some to my parents, and give some to my church. I would pay off my mortgage and car notes. I would take the remaining amount to the bank and get financial counseling on how to invest.
Money is a tool that can help us advance in life. However, life has obstacles that money cannot repair. On the other hand, if we have money it is important to remember that just because we have money does not mean we should explore everything we desire. We really need wise advice to make wise decisions about our money. Mastering your money before it masters you keeps you from regrets. 1 Timothy 6:10 says, “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” We make wise life decisions including decisions about our money when we know God’s thoughts and follow them.
What would you do if you got a lot of money? You don’t have to wait to have a lot of money to do the things on your wishlist. Start with what you have. You can make the wise decision to be a blessing, pay down your debt and invest well with what you have now.
