Is Real Love Sex?

Since we are in the month of February and Valentine’s Day just past, let us take a few minutes to examine the words love and sex. People believe having sex means that someone is in love with you. They later find out that love is nowhere to be found in their sexual encounter. The only thing that sex and love have in common is the letter “E”. You see we learn that love, those four letters, mean L O V E – LASTING OVER VIRTUALLY EVERYTHING. This is how we should view the word love. Sex has nothing to do with love.

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Watch a man with his car. He has studied all features before he enters the dealership to purchase the car (courtship). He has looked and admired it before he takes a test drive (first date). He makes the purchase and takes the car home (dating). He washes the car each week, spends hours making sure the car shines to turn heads when he drives along the street. He calls the car baby; not everyone can ride it her, no one else can drive her. However, after a little while, the car ages, and he trades her for another model. The love for her was temporary. It did not last. We find this in our relationships, it was not true love. But, there is real love for you, waiting.

Real love knows how beautiful you are inside and outside, just as God made you. Real love is willing to wait until marriage to have sex. You can change the world and your life by falling in love with Jesus.
