Your Season
I remember meeting him for the first time. We clicked immediately and spent time talking and hanging out together. He was dating one of my friends at the time, so there were no sparks or thought of sparks. I respected the relationship he was in and we maintained our bounds remaining only friends. Over the years, and after his relationship with my friend was long over, our friendship continued to thrive. But as I got to know him better, I knew that it wasn’t our time for a romantic relationship as he was enjoying his college life. If we had dated at that time, it wouldn’t have lasted. So I steered away from anything more than friendship.
God gave me the wisdom to listen to His direction and the patience to wait for the right time for a deeper relationship. I have to say, I didn’t know the future of the relationship, but God did.
Young ladies pay attention to God’s direction. It may not be your season right now for a relationship with your guy. Don’t force it, stand back and let God lead you. As for me, God eventually lead us from friends to dating to marriage. Your season is coming.
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiates 3:1,5-8
