Spread the love

When asked to define, love is hard to put into words. When received and when given, love can be a beautiful thing. However, its power is often misused and abused.

I Corinthians 13:4-8 is a great description of how love is supposed to be.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”

February is upon us and it is generally a month that love is celebrated. Valentine’s Day is a day of endless balloons, flowers, and candy. Single people usually loathe the holiday because it reminds them of not having a significant other. Some call is “Single Awareness Day.” While love may eventually come, always remember to love yourself.

God loves you. John 3:16 tells us that he loved us so much that He gave His only begotten Son so that we could have everlasting life.
Close your eyes, quiet your mind, listen to your heartbeat, and know that you are L-O-V-E-D!
