Vacation!
Praise the LORD from the earth,
you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,
lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
stormy winds that do his bidding,
you mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars,
wild animals and all cattle,
small creatures and flying birds,

Normally at some point during the hot summer months, I plan a vacation to relax and recharge. A chance to get away from everything and spend time with family or just taking time to visit somewhere I enjoy or am seeing for the first time. This summer is no different. I cannot wait to explore the Smoky Mountains. As I spend time planning my activities, one of the things I am interested in doing is admiring the beautiful landscape that God has created, the mountains, the trees, and the waterfalls.
Many people have different places they love to visit, different scenery that makes them happy. Another popular summer destination is the beach. Some people spend time on the beach basking in the sun, listening to the waves whip over the sand. While relaxing on the beach, you can enjoy the variety of sea shells in the sand as well and the breathtaking sunrise and sunset.
Even if you cannot go on vacation this year, God’s creations are everywhere. Look at your neighbor’s garden, the grass, flowers blooming. Occasionally, different color songbirds catch my eye and ear just outside my window. The more you actively look the more you will find. And you just start to realize how creative God is. Take a moment to rest and reflect on the spectacular creations God has made. Then pause and praise God for allowing you to enjoy His creations.
