Are You Searching For Love?

Spread the love

Love seems to be the one thing that everyone is seeking. We look around, and we see how much fun couples are having. We see how in love they are with each other, and we realize that type of love is missing from our lives. So we search for it and sometimes we force it just so we can “think” we’re in love.

You knew when you met him that he wasn’t the one. You continued the relationship anyway because it was something to do. Besides, it was better than being alone. So many times we settle. We’re always in a hurry like it’s some kind of competition.  We just don’t want to wait. Let’s face it, we all simply want to love and be loved, but do we really know what love is.

In I Corinthians 13: 4-7 love is described as being patient and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes and always perseveres.

Only God can teach us to love like this. Now that’s the kind of love I’m willing to wait for. Will you?
