Body by Cake!

Are you one of those people who only eats when they get hungry? I wish I was. Food causes me problems! One of my favorite foods used to be cake. When I go in the grocery store, I tend to find that the bread is near the bakery. Walking past the bakery, I see and smell all of those wonderfully decorated cakes in all shapes, colors and flavors. I have bought many cakes and cupcakes, thinking they are a smaller, better option, after being drawn in by the beauty and smell of the cakes.

Only after I saw the devastating results of eating cake on a regular basis, even if regular is just once a week, I realized that I HAD to get cake out of my diet. Just because it looked good, it was not always good. I found out that the consequences of eating cake over time (and only a small period of time is needed) lead to an increase in my weight. I also realized that I don’t even like store bought cake icing, which is normally my favorite part of the cake! It looks good on the cake, but tastes horrible. So I have had to find another healthier option for dessert instead of cake.

The Bible says in James 1:14:” but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.” Things can seem good or harmless at the beginning, until the real consequences are unveiled! Let God help you see the consequences before it is too late.
